Location: Pylos, Greece, in the centre of the main town square, to celebrate the victory of the battle of Navarino, 1827.

Description: A three-sided obelisk with a lower tablet and inscription (in Greek), flanked at four corners by cannon balls mounted on low columns adorned with fouled anchors, and by two naval cannons. On the facing side of the obelisk is the head of Codrington in relief, in a circlet of laurel, and inscribed below ‘Codrington’ (in Greek letters). On the other two sides are similar depictions of the French commander De Rigny, and the Russian commander Heiden.
